The government’s new ECE reimbursement scheme
Who is eligible for FamilyBoost?
From 1 July 2024, households earning up to $180,000 will be eligible for a refund of up to 25% of ECE fees, or total savings of up to $75/week or $3,900/year.*
Payments will be made 3-monthly, with the period from 1 July – 30 September paid in October 2024.
*after 20 Hours Free and MSD childcare Subsidies.

How do I apply for FamilyBoost?
Your childcare provider can supply weekly invoices in PDF or JPG format for you to apply in October 2024. You will need to register at www.ird.govt.nz/familyboost
