About Kimberley Childcare
We have two unique centres in Auckland. Our Te Atatū centre is perfectly situated in Te Atatū South, near Countdown with an under twos and a preschool building well set out to cater to your child's needs. Our Greenlane centre is in a handy location near the Greenlane Roundabout, Countdown and McDonalds.
We strive to
Nurture all children's self-esteem
by ensuring all learning outcomes are successful. We are inclusive in all that we do, and this shows throughout the environments. We provide opportunities for growth in areas such as social, emotional, and physical development. We foster responsibility within our tamariki in self-help, health, and safety and relationships. We encourage development in gross and fine motor skills through outdoor and indoor experiences.
Creative play and experiences
Develop all children's language skills through stories, music, dramatic play and give them a sense of identity and appreciation for other languages
Barrier-free access
We provide support and encouragement for all children and all different backgrounds, Promote the use of te reo Māori through our curriculum and daily routines, Prepare our tamariki for school by getting them independently ready through self-help, social and self-regulation skills.
Our Philosophy
Ko te manu e kai ana i te miro nōnā te ngāhere. Ko te manu e kai ana i te mātauranga nōnā te ao
The bird that consumes the miro owns the forest. The bird that consumes knowledge owns the world.
At Kimberley Childcare Te Atatū, we firmly believe that every tamaiti (child) is a unique taonga (treasure), cloaked in whakapapa (descent/ancestry). We seek to nurture them in a fun, loving and caring environment - a whare (home) away from home.
We are a multicultural centre that respects the diverse cultures, languages and identity of all and celebrates that everyone is a taonga (gift/treasure).
Our Values
Manaakitanga
Love and compassion; is a strong part of our ethos. Treat others how you want to be treated
Kōtahitanga
We take pride in working together with our whānau, iwi and hapū (community)
Aroha
We embrace love, kindness, compassion and empathy towards each other.
Whānau
We acknowledge our whānau voices and take pride in building relationships, trust and connections with our families and community in Kimberley Childcare.
Te Whare Tapawhā-Theorist: Mason Durie
We are deeply committed to promoting the social, mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing of our tamariki / children. This aids in our ability to support whānau aspirations and wishes to shape and mentor their child (taonga) during their educational journey at Kimberley Childcare.
“Mā te mahi ngātahi, ka ohoka te pitomata hei puananī”
Together, kaiako and whānau can help tamariki realise their full potential and be free to express themselves, going in any direction with guidance to further their education.
We'd love to show you around our centre
